Last week, we shared the exciting news that clarinet virtuoso Magnus Holmander was heading to Tokyo to replace Martin Fröst for an anticipated concert with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jonathan Nott.
With only four days to prepare for Michael Jarrell's intricate Passages Concerto for clarinet and orchestra, Magnus rose to the occasion with precision and dedication.
The response to his debut in Japan confirms Holmander's reputation as one of the most dynamic and exciting clarinetists in his genre. Audiences at the prestigious Suntory Hall and MUZA Kawasaki Symphony Hall welcomed Magnus with open arms, expressing their appreciation through enthusiastic reviews and glowing online comments.

The Swedish clarinet virtuoso has an impressive track record and an ever-expanding international presence. Earlier this year, Magnus enjoyed highlights including the world premiere of composer Jacob Mühlrad's clarinet concerto SEMA.
We are honored to represent an artist who continually pushes the boundaries of classical performance. Thank you, Tokyo, for an incredible event!
